From Utica (2 hours):
  • Take Rte 12 N to Lowville, NY.
  • In Lowville Rte.12 merges into Rte. 26.
  • As you go through Lowville follow signs that lead you to Rte. 812. To Croghan.
  • Follow directions from Croghan to Oswegatchie below.

From Syracuse (2.5 hours):
  • Take Rte 81 North to Adams Center.
  • Take Rte 177 in Adams Center to Rte 12.
  • Take Rte 12 into Lowville. Slight right.
  • At Intersection of Rte 26 turn left onto Rt. 26.
  • Follow signs to Rte.812 North. To Croghan.
  • Follow directions from Croghan to Oswegatchie below.

From Watertown (1 hour):
  • Take Rte 126 to Carthage.
  • Continue on Rte 126 through Carthage.
  • Take Rte 126 to Croghan.
  • In Croghan turn left onto Rte 812.
  • Follow directions from Croghan to Oswegatchie below.

From Croghan To Oswegatchie (20 minutes):
  • Take Rte. 812 to Croghan.
  • Go through the Town of Croghan.
  • As you leave Croghan you will see a sign (Oswegatchie Camp) on the right hand side of the road.
  • At the sign take a right onto the Belfort Rd.
  • Take Belfort Rd. into Belfort.(approx 3.5 miles) Road comes to a T in front of the BELFORT INN.
  • At the INN take a right onto Long Pond Rd. From this pt. you are 8.5 miles from the camp.
  • Continue on paved road. Do not take any side dirt roads. Beware of sharp corners.
  • Eventually you will cross two bridges that are one mile apart. After the second bridge you are 1.5 miles
  • from the camp.
  • Sutliff Lodge will be the first place you come to (Big Brown Lodge). Stop there to register.

From Plattsburgh To Oswegatchie (3.5 hours):
  • Take Rte 3 West from Plattsburgh to Harrisville.
  • Beyond Harrisville you will turn Left onto Rte 812 South.
  • Turn left onto Erie Canal Road
  • Turn left onto Mt Tom Cross Rd
  • Mt Tom Cross Rd becomes Long Pond Road
  • Eventually you will cross two bridges that are one mile apart. After the second bridge you are 1.5 miles
  • from the camp.
  • Sutliff Lodge will be the first place you come to (Big Brown Lodge). Welcome!
