Trail camera Network
Oswegatchie's Trail Cam Experimental Plan
Oswegatchie would like to improve our trail camera network across our 1200-acre property. Our goal is to track the wildlife on property for educational purposes and scientific research. Being located in the Adirondacks with many acres and 4 large ponds, we have a unique opportunity to use trail cameras to do educational work with the guests that visit the property. The Oswegatchie Educational Center in Croghan, New York is nestled on 1200 acres of wooded land within the Adirondack Park. Oswegatchie is owned and operated by the New York FFA Leadership Training Foundation, Inc. The center operates as a youth camp during the summer months and is open throughout the year as an educational and recreational retreat center. After these students leave, they still want to be engaged with our programs. The use of a trail camera network is a great tool to pair with social media to share what is going on in our woods. Tracking wildlife is an idea remote education project. Any individual sponsor of trail cameras will be recognized as a “Wildlife Patron” on our website. (www.oswegatchie.org). Any corporate sponsors of trail cameras will be recognized as a “Wildlife Authority”. Not only will your corporate logo be in the camera framed shot, but we will do trail camera reviews and spotlight your product on social media outlets. We are open minded and thankful for any support. We are not picky when it comes to make or model. We also have opportunities for time lapse, construction cams, outdoor webcams, and others. Being that is for engaging youth of all ages in the study of wildlife, we thank you in advance.
