NYS FFA Foundation Golf Tournament May 17, 2009

On Sunday May 17th, the NYS FFA Foundation will hold its 1st Annual Golf Tournament. It begins with a Shotgun start at 9:30 AM at the Greenview Country Club in West Monroe, NY.

This 1st year event is intended to raise funds to support NYS FFA members as they participate in career focused competitions, scholarships, and their own summer program at the Oswegatchie Educational Center in Croghan, NY. While no single project has been identified for the proceeds, all revenue will benefit student development.

Todd Lighthall, the Executive Director for the NYS FFA Foundation stated, “Last year the New York FFA Foundation gave out over $65,000 in funds directly to the members of the FFA and their chapters. Any event we can promote to help ourselves will only go to serve the greater population that is our FFA membership.”

In addition to promoting this event to golfers and FFA supporter, the FFA Foundation is also seeking sponsors for the tournament. Many levels of sponsorship are available. All sponsors will be recognized in the event brochure, on signs on the course, and in our annual FFA Foundation report.

For $75 per person, golfers will receive 18 holes of golf, a cart, food at the turn, and a steak dinner. The event is limited to 36 teams of four persons each. Tournament format will be captain and crew.
